Just 38 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, Windermere has evolved to become a sought-after destination set amongst 50 hectares of parklands, wetlands and a creek reserve.
The development team has completed construction on over 1,000 lots since the project was launched in 2018, welcoming thousands of new residents to our community.
Beautiful landscaping showcasing native plants has become a defining feature in the estate with the first eight stages now completed.
This year, a full section of wetlands and waterways between Callaway Street and Ison Road opened for residents to enjoy recreational activities and take in the natural wonders of this vast open space.
The team is also very proud to announce construction has commenced on Windermere’s first park – Twain Road Park in the recently completed Stage 20.
Drainage and earthworks are now in progress, rockwork and garden beds are forming and landscape paths laid. Play equipment and shelters will soon be delivered to the site for installation.
Twain Road Park will offer spaces for people to engage in various leisure activities such as walking, jogging, cycling, picnics and playing sports with the aim of promoting physical health, mental well-being and social interaction.
Approximately 100 deciduous and evergreen trees, 3200 shrubs, grasses and groundcovers and around 5,000 square metres of turf will be laid in the new park.
Work will continue over summer with completion anticipated in Q2 2024.
The finishing touches are being made to Laa Yulta Primary School on Elementary Road with children eagerly awaiting to use the new facilities from the first day of term next year.
Up to 650 students can be enrolled when completed for students from prep to Grade 6. Students will utilise state-of-the-art learning areas with airconditioning and heating, while outside shade sails will provide sun protection.
In more positive news, Stage 19 settlements have started with new home construction sites already underway, while Stages 20 – 21 are in the final compliance process with titles anticipated early in 2024.
Construction on Stages 22 – 27 will continue to be delivered progressively across 2024.
