Windermere continues to evolve as a family-focused community where learning, lifestyle and connection come together.
With new education facilities, childcare services and steady development progress, the estate provides an environment that supports residents at every stage of life.
Jason Buckland, Senior Development Manager at Risland says, “Education is the cornerstone of growth for any young person. We have strategically placed Laa Yulta Primary School plus childcare centres in key locations within the estate.
These education facilities are becoming important gathering places for our families and provide vital education, conveniently located on the doorstep for residents. All of the facilities link with a network of cycle and walk paths to enable children and families to walk or ride to school to promote an active lifestyle. Windermere’s recreational amenities will be surrounded by 23 hectares of active open spaces when complete.”
“The community has expanded to over 3,000 residents and this number will continue to climb as the estate matures. Many of our purchasers are young families and couples planning to start a family,” he added.
Windermere has achieved several major delivery milestones to date including the completed construction of 1,522 lots with 1,102 dwellings now completed or under construction. This momentum reflects ongoing demand for quality homes within a well-planned masterplanned community.
Laa Yulta Primary School, located at 10 Elementary Road, Mambourin opened on the first day of Term 1 in 2024 and will proudly celebrate two years of operation in January 2026.
The school has grown rapidly, with approximately 500 students now enrolled, reflecting the strong demand from local families. New buildings have been delivered to accommodate another eight classrooms and 100 plus students.
Laa Yulta Primary School features an administration and library building, three learning neighbourhoods, a community hub with an indoor multi-use court, canteen and arts and music spaces, plus hard courts, sports field and carpark.
A kindergarten sits beside the primary school, making transitions easier for families and helping streamline drop-off and pick-up times.
Windermere is also home to Child’s Play Early Learning Mambourin, which opened in November 2025 at 121 Callaway Street. The centre caters for children aged six weeks to six years across eight rooms.
Children enjoy a wide range of engaging learning environments including a mini supermarket for imaginative play and numeracy skills, a construction corner to encourage problem-solving and a community library space used for reading and centre-wide events such as Book Week.
