Imagine, explore and create at our FREE kids coding workshop

As part of Windermere’s commitment to education, we are partnering with STEM Birds to offer FREE* introductory computer coding and robotics workshops for primary school aged children in the Wyndham area this November. These workshops will allow children to be creative, build confidence and create projects that can do really amazing things.

With the rapid technological advancement of the modern age, science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills are rapidly becoming fundamental for a wide range of new and emerging professions.

What kids will learn:

  • Introduction to robotics
  • Conceptual skills
  • Computational and logical thinking
  • Problem identification and solving skills
  • Basic coding concepts and basic programming patterns
  • 2D/3D sprite animations
  • Adapting to new challenges and problem-solving approach
  • Information and communication skills
  • Interpersonal and self-directional skills
  • Critical reasoning and persistence
  • Optimisation
  • Analysing systematically and collaborating effectively
  • Hands on experience with different educational robots
  • Techniques to design, build and program you own robots
